How To Install Android On Iphone 3gs
Android Successfully Ported to iPhone
We have seen Android being ported to WinMob devices like Xperia X1 and Nokia N900 Meamo phone but Android port on iPhone, no one ever thought of it. Yes, dev team member & iPhone hacker Planebeing has successfully ported Android to iPhone 3G which he says "It should be pretty simple to port forward to the iPhone 3G. The 3GS will take more work", on his blog Linux on iPhone.
Back in 2008 planetbeing has done the job of reverse engineering Apple's hardware drive and he was the guy who had successfully ported Linux kernel 2.6 to Apple iPhone.
You can now dual boot & run android 1.6 donut on iPhone. Android on iPhone 2G works pretty smooth without any hiccups and pre-build image of Android for iPhone 2G is already available for download.

Update: Sorry the video shows android on iPhone 2G, not iPhone 3G

can android 2.2 be ported also on 3gs?
The maker of iphodroid (Sergio) Is using all of his freetime on this.
So the short answear: Yes
Is it availeble now?: No
But it's coming in the near future?: Yes
I'm also waiting for some 3GS progress…
I would even let him borrow mine, if it would speed things up.
I mean, they are kind of wasting their time on 2G/3G, as it's damn slow (I tried), unless there's a technical reason ofcourse. That's why they should have started with the 3GS. On it, iDroid can really mean something :)
3GS requires a lot more work, since Apple introduced a lot more security stuff, like signing firmwares. I don't know why more progress hasn't been made though, because the limera1n exploit ripped open the bootloader. So it should be just around the corner, I guess. I'll do some research and work on it when I have time, although I don't really see a need for android on my iPhone, TBH.. but it would be fun.
Will you be putting out instructions on how
to install this on the 3GS when you figure it out? I would LOVE to have the benifits of the android OS on my phone. Also have you found any security issues when outside of iOS?
We want something concrete. Your answer is not helpful.
Something concrete hah? Make it your self then..

Hackers finally got Success to port Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a Jailbroken iPhone 3g. Users can still dual boot into Android 2.3 as well as iOS when Android port stops working.
